Upgrade of the Ecodis network to support growth.

Ecodis is an international stock market listed authority in the area of developing ecological alternatives for existing chemical water treatment techniques. Thus Ecodis has developed an innovative concept for disinfecting water efficiently without adding chemicals.
Given the great successes of the Ecodis concept, the business has seen strong international growth in recent years, which placed the current network under pressure.
By migrating the existing Small Business environment to a separate Exchange environment with separate file & print and database servers, Cheops has created a path for Ecodis to grow its IT department. Not only does the migration enable more users and sites, but critical applications can from now run on several servers and Ecodis also has additional functionalities available to it now.
In addition Ecodis's network was thoroughly reviewed and underwent a major upgrade:
- Upgrade and split firewalls (load-balancing and failover)
- Splitting internet connectivity via load-balancing
- Setting up V-LANs (Virtual Local Area Networks) to segment the network
- Setup of Guest Access-Points
- Splitting and optimising the network backbone
- Splitting Domain Controllers
- Securing data flow
- Expanding security
In order to guarantee the ”IT Business Alignment”, Cheops provides for a stable environment with the necessary breathing space, security and expansion possibilities, so Ecodis can keep growing in the years to come.
