VMware opts for Cheops as its strategic partner for Virtual Hosting solutions

Cheops Technology is proud to announce that it has underwritten the VMware Service Provider Program (VSPP) and that Cheops has - besides the status of VMware VIP Enterprise Partner - also been given the status of VMware Hosting Service Provider.
The VSPP comprises a new licence model that the VMware Infrastructure suite for hosting providers makes available on a monthly basis and per virtual machine. This enables Cheops to develop its own tailor-made offer of 'virtual infrastructure as a service' and in so doing to 'lease' capacity in virtual machines to end users. This model has specific advantages to the end user compared to the traditional hosting model which so often lacks the necessary flexibility. Cheops will now be able to offer a form of "utility computing services" with VSPP, which for instance facilitates an immediate increase or decrease in capacity. This model is also much more robust than conventionally hosted services as regards availability.
One of the outcomes of this ‘virtual infrastructure as a service‘ is our offer of Cheops Virtual Hosting. This will give you the advantages of a dedicated server, supplemented with even more flexibility and enhanced reliability. It is possible now, by means of virtualisation on the basis of VMware technology,, to divide our physical servers into various virtual servers which can host your own applications in a separate server environment with their own Operating System and a completely bespoke configuration entirely responsive to your needs.
Due to Cheops Virtual Hosting you will no longer make heavy investments to have your own server environment whereas you will experience your IT in a professional datacenter as if it were your own.
