Cheops joins SCC Global Partner network and takes over SCC services operations in Belgium

Belgium’s ICT company Cheops Technology has signed an exclusive cooperation agreement with SCC to become its sole Global Partner network partner in Belgium. The agreement includes the acquisition by Cheops of the Belgian ICT services activities of SCC Belgium.
SCC Belgium is part of UK-based SCH (Specialist Computer Holdings plc), Europe's largest privately owned IT group with an annual turnover of 3.5 billion Euro and 7,000 staff. Twenty SCC Belgium staff, working until now in Mechelen, will move to the Cheops offices in Edegem. Cheops’ turnover will grow from 8 million Euro in 2008 to more than 11 million Euro as a result of the takeover.
Cheops is focused on four solution areas: System Integration, Managed Services, Managed Hosting and IT Consulting. The company has set ambitious corporate objectives in its strategic company plan, Focus 2014. Cheops aims to be the undisputed reference on the Belgian IT services market in the field of network and system integration, with 20 million Euro annual turnover.
Whilst SCH has invested consistently over a 9 year period in its Belgian services operations, the strategic decision to divest ownership to Cheops will enhance Group profitability. SCC and Cheops will work in partnership to drive international business opportunities and SCC will continue to deliver supply chain product and commodity services in Belgium through its Benelux logistics facility.

As SCC Global Partner for Belgium, we shall be its partner for local projects as well as being part of SCC’s international projects involving Belgium. We have set ourselves some ambitious objectives for 2014. The extra competencies of our new colleagues are more than welcome,” Goos concluded.
