Covidien contract awarded

Another excellent contract has been awarded to Cheops, this time by Covidien in Opglabbeek. Covidien is a specialist manufacturer of pharmaceuticals and medical devices and supplies. The company has around 42,000 employees worldwide and is active in more than 60 countries. Cheops, which already has a long-term working relationship with Covidien, has now been selected for a new project.
One of Covidien’s main European distribution centres is located in Opglabbeek, and IT plays a vital role in its operational activities. To keep the systems up and running and provide the best possible support to users, Cheops has developed a flexible support formula and a bespoke SLA.
Cheops’s responsibilities include:
- Providing support to end users
- Solving hardware and software problems
- Implementing the new infrastructure
- Managing the backup system
- Managing the local servers and the network
- Handling project management for new projects and rollouts
These activities will be scheduled during fixed weekly negotiations. In addition, Cheops will provide an on-call service to deal with exceptional situations or disasters between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. and between 4.30 p.m. and 10 p.m.
